I was so excited to finally meet Adrian & Liza after our phone conversations about their wedding later this year at the beautiful US Grant in San Diego (which happens to be about 5 minutes from my house)! They both seemed so sweet whenever I would talk to them and from the very start of our engagement session, it was pretty much nonstop laughter the entire time. We started the engagement session at Balboa Park and Liza showed up with her makeup flawlessly done by Lizbeth of Beloved Hair and Makeup. Several times, I caught myself staring at her gorgeous wedding ring…and if you take a look at the photos, you’ll see why I was so obsessed with it. Great job, Adrian!!

The engagement session was full of excitement and even a little craziness! When we headed to sunset cliffs, we were going to venture down to the beach area but we saw a little commotion happening down by the entrance area. It seemed like a couple people had gotten stuck and sure enough, we soon had a big firetruck join in on our engagement session! There was a crowd of people huddled around to see what was going on, but Liza, Adrian and I kept on with our photo session and eventually had a little audience. ;) I’m glad we ended up staying by the top of the cliffs (well, obviously because that would have been a terrible situation if I got my couple stuck down at the beach the first day we met, lol)..but also, because the views from the top of the cliffs were just stunning that night! We were blessed with the most amazing sunset and I love the shot at the end where the waves below look like they are just floating on clouds.

It really does sum up the engagement shoot! Liza and Adrian are such a fun, beautiful couple and they looked like they were on could 9 all day. They were so easy to talk to and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year! Liza is already so on top of the planning and I know it’s going to be the perfect day. :)
