On this day, one year ago, a sweet baby girl named Paisley Grace was born. One of my husband’s very best friends, Joey became a father and asked Pat to be the godfather. So even though we don’t do newborn photography (I’ve always felt like weddings is just my thing – maybe that will change when we have kids of our own one day!), I still couldn’t resist snapping a few pics of this new little bundle of joy, on our first visit to meet her. And of course, even in Paisley’s first year, she just can’t seem to get away from Auntie Riss and her camera. ;) She’s already had way too many photoshoots and I can’t wait for the next one!

In honor of this little ones birthday, I thought it would be special if we had a guest blogger today! Say hello to my handsome husband!!

Happy Birthday to my adorable goddaughter, PG!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love kids. Although Riss and I aren’t quite ready for our own yet, we are extremely excited to start a family one day, when the time is right. I can’t imagine the feeling of becoming a father down the road, but I got a little glimpse of what it might feel like on the first day I held my goddaughter, Paisley. She was so small and perfect. The most beautiful little baby I had ever seen.

Once we started babysitting more, I never got sick of those moments where I would be cuddling with Nala, my puppy-daughter in one arm and Paisley, my goddaughter in the other. #dadlife for sure, haha! It’s really crazy to me how quickly they grow up. I felt like I blinked and all the sudden, young PG is starting to walk. And now she’s already starting to babble and talk. I’m just looking forward to the day where I can start her hoop lessons and basketball drills!

PG, I’m so honored to be in your life. Whatever happens in life, never forget that Uncle Pat’s got your back. And so does your best friend, Nala. I love you and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you.
