I’m so excited to finally share this family session! Karen and I have been trying to get together to do a family shoot for a while now but our schedules never aligned and it was soo much fun having her little family in front of my camera. Want to know something extra special about this fun session? I am actually related (through marriage – but still ;)) to this beautiful family!! Her sister, Jenn is married Pat’s cousin, Cliff. So we would always catch up with Karen & Brian during big family events and get togethers. Their two boys, Jayden & Xavier are SO adorable so as you can imagine, I was super excited when Karen mentioned that she wanted to do a family photo session with me one day.

As we discussed when and where this shoot would take place, she told me that her and Brian took sunset photos a while ago on the beach together, but none with the boys. So it was only fitting that we take these photos on the gorgeous beaches of La Jolla, San Diego…but this time, include the whole fam! Grandma too! I loved how the boys interacted with their grandma. You can tell she just loves them so much and it made me think about one day when Pat & I have kids. I always pray that God will make a way for my parents to be able to live somewhere close. I think family relationships are so important & special. I’m honored to have been able to document these beautiful moments for this family that means so much to Pat & I. Enjoy some of our favorites!
