You want to know what I love? I love it when couples really cherish the season of being engaged and realize that this window of time is only for a short period. Pretty soon, Erin and Brandon will be able to call each other husband and wife!! I also love when couples soak in the moment, get really excited for their engagement session and show up in a custom made gown! ;) I just LOVED how Erin texted me photos of her engagement session dress before I even met her in person! I mean, how amazing is that gown!?
When Erin reached out to me about potentially photographing her wedding at Lake Oak Meadows this summer, I couldn’t contain my excitement. As I’ve shared in the past, that is one of my favorite venues because of the lush trees, secret gardens full of roses, and the incredible lake and fountains that tie it all together. There are SO many great photo spots here and I’m really looking forward to photographing Erin & Brandon’s upcoming wedding!
After chatting with them during their engagement session, I learned more about their wedding details, colors and overall theme. I won’t give it all away, but I will say that we share a similar taste in style and her accents and details remind me a lot of my own wedding!! I cannot wait to see her vision come to life and we’re looking forward to capturing the details and special moments of their day!
There are several reasons I’m pretty obsessed with this engagement session. Erin & Brandon were so fun to work with and not to mention, they are an absolutely beautiful couple! Erin’s custom made emerald green dress really brought out the color of her stunning eyes! Her black & gold heels were perfect accents to compliment the dainty, elegant bouquet made by my sweet friend, Zeyda of The Little Fleur Co!
She told me that they had a casual outfit for the beach. We headed to La Jolla to catch some sunset photos and I love love loved the entire look of their casual outfit! I’m always a fan of photographing fancy and dolled up – but man, THIS is how you do a casual outfit right!! :) Super trendy, cute and stylish! The sunset photos with the golden rays hitting her hat are some of my favorite photos ever.
Enjoy some of the highlights from our engagement session with Erin & Brandon and keep an eye out for their gorgeous wedding photos this summer at Lake Oak Meadows! It’s going to be a good one. ;)
