A few photos of our living room! The moment Pat & I bought our first home together, I started looking up more home design ideas. I found myself always gravitating towards the clean, fresh “all white” theme. Pat was against this idea, seeing that we had a big black dog! haha, I get it. But it’s just sooo pretty! Luckily, our pup Nala doesn’t shed too much. But I’m happy we went this theme. We still have a lot to do before it fits exactly in my “vision” of what I want the house to look like, but we’re off to a good start! Pat and I did a lot last year…bought a house, had a wedding and went on a month-long honeymoon to Costa Rica, Japan, the Philippines and a stop in China on our way home! We worked really hard and saved every penny we had for years (oh yea, and Pat won a huge prize thanks to bodybuilding.com that helped A TON with the house)! But we decided we needed to get serious about our finances and budgeting. So we just completed the Dave Ramsey “Financial Peace University” class and it has completely changed our lives! If you want more info on that, I’d be more than happy to share. :)
So for now, we are staying happy, content and so very thankful for all that we have. In the future, I’d love to do some home remodeling and possibly re-do our entire kitchen! I’d love to hear some of your favorite place you find home inspiration for decorating and designing! Please leave the links below so I can daydream until our next big project. :) A lot of our house is currently decorated with antique cameras I’ve collected, leftover wedding decor, and of course…ikea plants (some real and some fake). I have learned about myself that I have a hard time keeping plants alive!! But I just love the looks of fresh greenery in the house.
Lastly, I really wanted to show off this amazing map painted by the talented Amanda Rose, of Rosie Mornings. What makes this sign so special is…#1, Pat and I love love love to travel. So we’ve always wanted a map in our home. #2, this map was painted right on the wooden “welcome” sign that Amanda created for our wedding! We didn’t need the welcome sign anymore so I had her paint over it in all white (of course) then create this beautiful map for us! If you want her to create one for you, contact her asap! She’s so talented. :)
That’s all for now. Hope you enjoy a sneak peek into our home! Nala sure loved being the star of this photoshoot. :)
