Fall has been packed full of amazing and fun family photo sessions! I am so excited to share Erica & Efren’s family shoot with you all because I know you’re going to fall in love with this adorable family, just like I did! This is the THIRD time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Erica & her beautiful family and it’s crazy how time just flies by so quickly. The first photo shoot we had, their son was just a little guy & Erica was pregnant with her daughter, Alina. The following year, we did a family session including both Erica & Efren’s parents along with their TWO adorable littles. This was a gorgeous session down in Chula Vista overlooking Eastlake and showing off the hills in the background. For our 2017 family session, we wanted to do something a little different, but still being able to show off the beauty of San Diego!
We decided on Coronado Centennial Park because there are so beautiful rose bushes and places with flowers that even matched their outfits. And then we could walk a little ways down to the beach and see the breath-taking view of the skyline with the pretty pink sky!! If you’re a photographer and you’ve photographed Coronado island, you know that one of the best spots to take photos is the Hotel Del Coronado side of the island because you get the actual sunset. But we switched it up and with on the opposite side for the skyline and now I’m not sure which I like better! Right after the sunset goes down, the opposite side of the sky always shows vibrant pink, purple able orange colors. And oh man, was the sky as gorgeous as ever for this family. <3
Erica & Efren’s little ones, Izaiah and Alina did SO well. For those who do family sessions with kiddos, I know sometimes it can be hard to keep them focused and smiling for a long duration of time. This is totally normal! Erica brought some snacks along and we played little games with Alina to get that big smile of hers to come out. :) Izaiah is such a great big brother and I love the photos of him giving her hugs. Too precious!! Of course, I had to end the night with some couples photos of Erica and Efren because they are just too cute together! And Erica requested that I end with some photos of just the San Diego city skyline. So happy she asked me to take these because sometimes I forget to take photos of my surroundings and only focus on the family. But, wow – it was a perfect night and I love how the skyline photos came out too. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from this fun family session on Coronado Island!
