Last weekend, we had some very special guests stay with us at our house! We met Shane & Coley in 2012 when we went to Israel to play basketball with Athletes in Action. They were the sweetest couple and Pat & I loved getting to know them. They had just gotten married the year before and I remember asking if they wanted to have kids one day. Coley’s eyes lit up and immediately said, “Yes! :) We want a really big family!” Fast forward a few years and they have FOUR ADORABLE little girls!! <3 All within a span of 2.5 years. Wow!
And today is a very special day because it’s the twins’ birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOCILYNN & JAELYNN! Coley & Shane officially have THREE girls that are THREE years old!! And the adorable baby of the family with those big brown eyes is one and a half. :) It was so so so much fun having them over last weekend. The house was full of non-stop giggles (see video below)! It really made Pat & I think a lot about our future and how we can’t wait to have kids one day down the road. I grew up with three older brothers and loved having a house full of siblings/forever friends.
The reason this beautiful family was in San Diego was for the annual “Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market“. Coley is an incredibly talented artist who does hand lettering, wedding invitations, painting, illustration and design. A lot of the signs we had at our wedding was created by Coley!! Check here out at ColeyKuyper.com or on her instagram! She is based in Phoenix but has clients all around the world so hit her up. :) She even created the cutest custom invites for the twins birthday party today. <3 LOVE!
Enjoy these photos from our quick mini-shoot of this beautiful & amazing family!! I couldn’t help but get them in front of my camera at least once while they were here. We took the photos in our guest bedroom because I’m obsessed with all the light that comes through windows in that room. Shane & Coley – we love you guys!! Thanks for letting Pat & I get our dose of cute kiddos for the weekend and filling our home with so much joy and so many giggles. Come back and visit soon! xoxo
And just for the fun of it, I thought I would include a few throwback photos from our time in Israel together. My favorite memories were playing basketball and getting baptized in the Jordan River!! This is also proof that with lots of practice, you CAN improve your photography skills. ;)
